A: Rocket Clicks is a hyper-focused digital marketing partner specializing in paid advertising and search engine optimization. We help our partners grow their businesses online, through clear and transparent communication and data-driven decisions, providing a clear ROI. Q: How was the idea for the business born? A: Our founder was one of the first businesses to advertise on Google and was incredibly successful with it. He said, "If I can do that for our business, why couldn’t we do it for others?" From that, Rocket Clicks was born. Q: What sets your company apart? A: In the agency world, the “norm” is one team member manages 10 clients, and we’ve even heard of one analyst being responsible for 50 or more. That leads to stress, burnout, and high client turnover. We set out to do something different, where our clients feel like they really have a partner and our team feels like their actions mean something to a business. Together we each get to see the fruit of that partnership in the form of revenue and business growth. Q: What are your biggest challenges as a small business? A: We have what could be affectionately called the “Midwest Service” issue. By taking a stand and putting our clients first, it’s so easy for us to get lost in making our client’s marketing an A+. That shows up as a marketing agency that really isn’t marketing itself. As we continue to grow, we will need to treat ourselves as a client partner. Q: What have been your biggest successes? A: During the pandemic, 30 percent of our business was in the travel industry - which evaporated overnight. We doubled down on the idea that we are partners, and because we are partners, we can be industry agnostic. What really matters is that we understand our clients businesses on a deep level and can bring actionable insights and prioritized opportunities to the table each month. The end result has been a diversified client list and we’ve hired more people who didn’t want the conveyor belt marketing anymore. Today our business is more robust and immune to external disasters than ever before. Q: What has been the most surprising part of running a small business? A: Though we are a small business there is no “small” relationship. Each relationship we develop matters starting with our team, our clients, and our community.
