What has been your biggest takeaway since starting your new role? The people in the School District of Waukesha are simply amazing. Even during a pandemic, I have felt very welcomed to the District and the community. What is the most important lesson you’ve learned? Throughout my years in education, I've learned that reflection is the key to continuous growth and improvement. Through reflection and embracing a servant leadership mindset, I strive to be better for others each and every day. What is your personal key to success? I think it is a commitment to lifelong learning and a strong work ethic that I learned from my parents. What’s the first job you ever had? I was a baseball umpire as a teenager and then worked in the automotive department at Fleet Farm. What is your dream job? Professional golfer. What book are you currently reading or would you recommend? “Grit” by Angela Duckworth. What is your favorite pastime? I love to play golf as well as watch my kids be active in sports, music and theatre. What is your personal key to success? Patience, persistence, and keeping a focus on the long game. What’s the first job you ever had? I was a dishwasher in a greasy spoon in St. Paul, MN. What is your dream job? Working with a high-quality team to create relevant learning opportunities for all students. What book are you currently reading or would you recommend? "Why Fish Don't Exist: A Story of Loss, Love, and the Hidden Order of Life" by Lulu Miller. What is something unique about you? I am a superintendent with 27 years of teaching experience.
